Gracie's FIRST Birthday!

Happy FIRST birthday Gracie! She was so excited this morning as she was having her morning waffle and smiled SO big for us!

On our way to Red Robin for our birthday supper! Of course, we ALWAYS have a baby doll with us-thanks Libby and Elise for our birthday dolly!

The BEST part of all-ICE CREAM after supper! She LOVED it!

Blowing kisses to everyone as we left! She had such a good birthday and can't wait for her PARTY on Saturday!

Trip to the Carousel

We went on a mystery trip Saturday afternoon - to the Carousel in Memphis! The girls had SO much fun and got to ride it 4 different times!

We then went to Huey's for supper and re-introduced the girls to one of our FAVORITE Memphis restaurants! Julia had so much fun deciding what she would get from the legendary menus! She of course decided on chicken strips and fries - the girls even got a surprise ice cream cup for dessert! What a great time we had!

Snow on Northwood!

We got a little bit of snow this morning so the girls wanted to get out and enjoy it! We got lots of sledding done, made baby snowmen, and made lots of snow balls! Gracie had the most fun just watching all the "big" kids sledding and playing in the snow. It won't be long before she joins them!

Birthday Time

We celebrated Neena's birthday at our house on Sunday (a day early) and of course we had an ELMO birthday cake! Happy Birthday Neena!

We let Gracie practice eating a little birthday cake since she will be having her own FIRST birthday in TWO weeks! She looks pretty happy with it!

Keaton's Visit to Jackson

This past weekend, Julia and Gracie's cousin, Keaton, from Knoxville came to visit us! We had some wonderful weather on Sunday afternoon so the girls showed her around Northwood in the new ride! We are so glad that we all got a chance to finally get together before the girls go away to college and are thankful that she brought her mommy and grandparents with her on her visit!

Squeaky clean girls after a bath! The naked baby shot in the bathtub was NOT a success-every time we got one child settled down, the next one started crying! So, we got this CUTE shot of the girls in their jammies!

Train Museum & a Visit to Santa

On Saturday we went to the train museum in downtown Jackson and had a GREAT time! We have been meaning to get there as we have found out that both girls LOVE trains, but finally found a morning that we could get there! The girls loved sitting in the train car and being able to go inside a real dining car AND red caboose (below)! We spent lots of time looking at the HUGE model train set that they had set up in a whole room!!!

After our visit to the museum, we stopped by to see Santa at his house downtown. This was our LAST opportunity to let him know exactly what we wanted. Even though Gracie did NOT want to sit on his lap, Julia made sure that Santa had taken care of both of their lists! What a FUN Saturday morning!

Julia's Playschool Program

Julia had her Christmas program at Playschool on Tuesday morning and it was SO cute! She knew ALL the words of ALL the songs even though they only had 2 weeks to learn them!

A very special visitor even came to make sure that he had everyone's updated Christmas list!

Julia's Princess Birthday

Here is the first set of pictures from Julia's princess birthday party! Everyone kept taking pictures of Julia so she decided to take one of Pappy taking a picture of her! Look how cute the THREE cupcakes dress is!

Princess Birthday Cookies

Julia got to take pink princess crown cookies to school this week to celebrate her birthday (a week EARLY because of Christmas vacation). She helped me get the dough all ready and even helped me get the princess crowns just right on the pan before baking. It looks like I have disturbed her hard work in the pic above. Sorry, we forgot to take pictures of the final product but they were SO yummy! We have an upcoming princess birthday party this weekend! Wish us luck (with the weather AND the party)!!!!

Christmas Preview

We got some cute pictures of the girls in front of our tree last weekend after we got it up and decorated. We hope to get a "Christmas card picture" this coming weekend with their Christmas dresses. Hopefully they will cooperate as well as they did with these pictures. They are growing up so fast.....!!!!
