Sweet Sisters and Disney On Ice!

We have been busy lately with some small trips! We have started our fall treks to Oxford for the Ole Miss games and have LOTS of home games in October and November! The girls are getting really good at cheering with the cheerleaders and learning the Hotty Toddy!

We took a little day trip a couple of weeks ago to Memphis for Disney on Ice (a surprise to the girls!). We got to do a little walking around downtown at Mud Island and then rode the trolley around just in time to see the show!

Fall Photo Shoot at Pappy's!

Well, it is definitely fall and we are ready with new candy corn dresses! Neena made the girls coordinating dresses and Pappy made sure to capture all of the beauty (of the dresses AND the girls)! They did great for a 3 year old and a 1 year old with their grandaddy taking their pictures!

We didn't get many smiles from Gracie that day, but got a few cute "faces" from her! Doesn't she look so grown up with ALL that hair? Won't be long before she is 2!

Back to (Play)School!

Julia started back at playschool today after a 4 month summer! She was SO ready to get back to see all her friends and her wonderful teachers! She had a great day in the "big kid" class - she is in the 3&4 year old class this year!

This picture just makes me smile - Gracie and her cute "cheese" smiles! Gracie will get to join Julia next year at Playschool and we are already looking forward to it! She would love to just stay now when I drop Julia off!

Starlight Symphony 09

We spent a wonderful night on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church (Julia's playschool) listening to the free concert by the Jackson Symphony (Starlight Symphony)! The girls had so much fun running around, eating popsicles and even stopping to listen to the beautiful symphony music! It was a GREAT concert and wonderful late summer/early fall weather!

Gracie's First Day of School!

Gracie started school today-well, just two days a week at Mother's Day Out but it was her first time to be by herself without her mommy or big sister with her during the day! She had a great time playing with new friends all day until she woke up from her nap and her mommy wasn't there! Here's to a great FIRST year!

Aren't they just so cute together? Notice Julia's beautiful blue butterfly barrette? We just HAD to have it AND our bow in together! :) Julia was a great helper today and can't wait to start back to her playschool in September. We have a few more weeks until then so we will get some T-TH togethers before she goes back while Gracie is at school.

Southern Road Trip 09

We just got back from a little mini vacation around the South! We went to Murfreesboro and visited with some friends from Ryan's med school days, went to Chattanooga to see the TN Aquarium, Rock City, and the Choo-choo (of course!) and then on to Atlanta for the GA Aquarium and the American Girl store! The girls had such a great time-here's some highlights of the girls posing together!

Waynesboro Weekend!

We went down to Waynesboro to Granny and Dandaddy's for a party for Kelly and Suzanne and had a GREAT time! We spent most of our time outside enjoying the wonderful weather on the porch and in the pool! Gracie loved the PINK chair and it was just her size to get in and out of by herself!

Swim Lessons

Julia just finished two weeks of swim lessons! She started out so well that we got to skip the Mom & Tots class and went straight to the Beginners class! She did WONDERFUL! She has so much fun swimming and these lessons gave her lots of confidence in the water! Here she is with her teacher, Mr. Chris, who is a friend of ours and that Julia knows from church.

On the last day, Julia got a ribbon for finishing two great weeks of lessons! Can't wait for more next year! We have lots of swim time to practice until then!

Fourth of July 2009

We went to Memphis for the 17th annual Pidgeon Estates parade (our old neighborhood) on Fourth of July. Julia rode her Ole Miss bike the whole way and Gracie got to stroll! We had a great time and got to see lots of our old neighbors. We went to Huey's afterwards so we ended up with a true Memphis experience!

Library Storytime FUN!

We have been trying to keep cool these days and have been to our library for storytime. The girls have had so much FUN! We hear a couple of stories, get to dance, and then there is always a fun craft! Julia got to fingerpaint last week-notice the pink paint on the pink paper! Can you tell what her favorite color is?

Julia's First Movie

Julia went to her first movie this past weekend, the movie UP! She had a great time and is already waiting for the next one! She was posing in the lobby before the movie so we had to get a cute pic!

Baseball Game!

We got to go to a Diamond Jaxx baseball game on Saturday night and we all LOVED it! The Jaxx won, there were fireworks after the game, and Julia even got to run the bases after the fireworks! What a perfect evening!
