Northwood Easter Egg Hunt

We had our second annual Northwood Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday! As you can see, all the kids had lots of fun playing and hunting for eggs! It seems the group gets bigger and bigger each year. Maybe next year we will have that warm weather we have been waiting for at Easter!

All the "Northwood kids"! Aren't they a cute bunch?

Gracie Pictures

Gracie hardly gets her share of time on the blog so here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. Hope that everyone had a very happy Easter!

"Write, Write" outside

Julia got a chance to "write, write" outside in the pretty weather that we had last week. Neena was on spring break so she got to spend a day with her and Sara Nan. She loved the sidewalk chalk - looks like it is time to get some for Northwood!

A GOOD Friday

Today we took advantage of the nice weather and went to the playground over by our house. Julia had so much fun on the big slides. Notice the "Hollywood" sunglasses!
Julia is getting very good at swinging. She is slowly learning how to "pump" her feet on the swings by watching her friends. She may catch on SOON!
All smiles on the BIG slides!

St Patrick's Day

I think that the shirt says it all! Isn't she SO cute?

Naptime!

Well, Julia and Gracie are definitely their daddy's girls. They both took naps on the couch on Monday afternoon. I guess that they were resting up for the St. Patrick's day parties that evening!

Julia sure is being quiet

I have always heard that a quiet child can be a really good thing or a really bad thing. Sunday morning I was on call. I had been to make rounds and came home for a little while. Julia was hungry. Molly put her in the highchair and gave her some yogurt and then she went to feed the baby. I went to answer my pager, and when I came back Julia was rubbing the yogurt into her face, arms and hands. She smiled and said "soap daddy!" In a New York Spa I'm sure you would have to pay $400 for a yogurt spa rub, but Julia got one for free!! She then said "Bath tub now?" I said "yes, bath tub now!" and off we went.

After the Hunt (a little dance!)

After the hunt was over, I had a chance to dance and show off in front of all of my friends!
Just watching the big kids and wondering where I want to go next!
My friend Miles helped me go down the BIG blow-up slide. I wasn't afraid at all and went down about 5 or 6 times! Next year I will show Gracie how to climb up to the big slide and go down with her!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Julia and Gracie went to the church Easter egg hunt on Sunday afternoon. Julia had a chance to blow bubbles before the hunt started. She is getting really good at blowing bubbles!

Look at my stash! I got lots of eggs and I found out that these had stickers inside them. You can tell that I am already modeling some of them on my hand!

While Mommy was out of the room, Daddy took 25 pictures of us, these are the best four!

Gracie's Tummy Time

Gracie got her first experience with tummy time today. She seemed to like it pretty well. It even looks like we got a smile out of her in the next picture.

School Easter Egg Hunt

Julia had an Easter egg hunt at her school today. She was pretty serious about finding lots of eggs, but all was lost once she found out that the eggs were filled with candy!
Of course, we had to find pink eggs and we were very intent on getting them opened!
Look, Mommy, it DOES have candy in it!

SNOW!

We got snow on Friday night and we got to go out and play in it this morning. Some of our neighborhood friends made a snowman before we got out, so Julia wanted to go visit it. Gracie got to see her first snow, but underneath her "polar bear" suit and LOTS of blankets from her stroller. Sorry Lomaxes, we didn't get a pic of Gracie in the suit. Maybe we can try again soon!

Sisters Playing

Julia and Gracie had an opportunity to play with each other today. You can see Gracie kissing Julia with help from Daddy and how silly Julia thought it was! Also, notice the little bit of the pretty quilt that Nana (Aunt Nancy) made for Gracie. We hope to get a better picture of it soon!
