Gracie has learned to take naps like her daddy - on the couch! Notice the arms up in "touchdown" form. Maybe she was dreaming about the upcoming Rebel football season!

Ryan's Girls and a BIG Helper!

Julia wanted to help mommy hold Gracie today, so daddy made sure to get a picture of all of his "girls."

We put together a new chair for Gracie to sit in while she is in the den with us. Julia helped Daddy get all the tools together and showed him how to use them.

The Girls

Julia is being a great big sister.

Gracie sleeps a lot!

Julia is pointing out that Gracie doesn't have any teeth. This has been a REALLY important lesson. Julia wants to share cookies, chips, pork chops, chicken and even "princess snacks" with her sister. We talk about how Gracie doesn't have any teeth, and she can't eat "big girl food."

A Grand Tour and A Big Show!

When we got home this morning, our plan was to take Gracie to our family room. However, Julia had other plans. Julia led Gracie on a grand tour of our house. She showed Gracie around in Julia's room, and then we went to Gracie's room. Julia demanded that Gracie get in the swing, and Julia put on a show.

The show started with "If your happy and you know it" followed by "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." Then "The itsy, bitsy spider" and the "Wheels on the Bus" were featured.

Julia then broke out into an all-out booty shaking dance!!
After the show Julia wanted baby to try out her new bed.

The tour ended in the family room, ALL of Julia's toys were brought one-by-one to Gracie, "Baby sister look at this"

Good Baby

We had a good night. Until you're with a newborn, you forget about all the sounds they make when they are asleep, lots of coos and wimpers. Gracie kicked her feet out of the blanket three times in one hour. She obviously got the "no covers on my feet gene" that her sister, aunt, father, Neena and Mema all have. She's also got deep blue eyes like her sister. We won't know for sure for several weeks, but they look like the kind of blue eyes that will stay blue and not turn later.
I'll try to post more pictures later today. We think that Gracie looks a lot like Julia did.

Gracie Kathleen Roy

Gracie Kathleen Roy arrived tonight 2/6/2008 at 7:52 pm. She is 19 inches and 7 lb 13 ounces.

Big sister was very happy to see "my baby". She told me "baby no toes" so I unwrapped the blanket to show her that baby sister did indeed have 10 toes, of course this was followed by "Daddy, my baby sister has no clothes"!

Daddy spent Tuesday night at the hospital on call during the bad storms. When mommy's water broke today, daddy took mommy to the hospital, so he'll be there two nights back to back!

Baby Update

Molly's water broke today at lunchtime. It is now 4 pm. She has her epidural and baby and Mom are doing great. Stay tuned for updates later, and the updated name of this blog!

Puddle Jumping

Today it got up to 70 degrees at lunch time, and after lots of rain the sun finally came out. We got to go out and play for the first time in 5 weeks! My next door friend Preston showed me how to jump in the puddles!

Not only can you jump in the puddles, you can put your hands in the water! I actually put my face in one of the puddles, but I was to fast and daddy couldn't get a picture in time.

Look at how wet we are! We had a great time!
